This year marks the 35th anniversary of Tinker Hatfield’s beloved Nike Air Max silhouette. As we approach Air Max Day 2022, the Swoosh unveiled what it’s been cooking up in celebration. We’ve got a trio of new Air Max 1 colorways coming soon as regional exclusives.
Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Reveal Daring Dunk Low
First up is the Nike Air Max 1 “Wabisabi”, where earth tones dominate the color palette. Various shades of brown complement suede mudguards and olive detailing. Exposed stitching outlines almost every panel of premium leather fabric. Further, Nike forgoes traditional heel branding in favor of a Nike smiley face fashioned into the leather. The “Wabisabi” colorway will release exclusively to Latin America and Asia-Pacific regions. Next, we’ve got the “Blueprint” colorway, exclusive to North America. This white and baby blue iteration also features a gridded pattern on the Swoosh and tongue branding.
Lastly, the “La Ville-Lumiere” – or “City of Lights.” This ladies-exclusive colorway is styled in a simplistic white and navy fashion. Additionally, the mid-foot overlays shine a subtle iridescence to bolster the look. This iteration will release exclusively in Europe. All three designs utilize white or slightly off-white midsoles with Nike’s pressurized Air technology and rubber outsoles.
