Last year, the Swoosh ushered in the Year of the Tiger with several sneakers, including a Dunk High and Air Force 1. As we near the finals months of 2022, Nike is once again looking to honor the forthcoming new year with a special sneaker. Expected to be part of a larger release, Nike honors the upcoming Lunar New Year with a Dunk High of the same name.

This year’s Dunk High is more reserved than its predecessor, as the base sees “Summit White” leather uppers resting beneath suede panels in greyscale tones. “Desert Ore” Swooshes don a furrier suede material, meeting at the “Evergreen” heel loops. Most notably, details include gold mountain artwork on the lateral heels and “多金山” (“golden mountain”) gold text on the tongue tags. To complete the design, crisp white midsoles meet icy translucent outsoles for a smooth finish.
