For now, specific technical details are kept tightly under wraps. Red Bull has, however, revealed that a V8 hybrid engine producing over 1,100 BHP will power the two-seater. The design features a carbon-composite tub with “the most advanced ground effect package available in a series production car.”

Creator and Red Bull CTO Adrian Newey said

“The RB17 distills everything we know about creating championship-winning Formula One cars into a package that delivers extreme levels of performance in a two-seat track car. Driven by our passion for performance at every level, the RB17 pushes design and technical boundaries far beyond what has been previously available to enthusiasts and collectors.”

Further, Christian Horner, CEO of Red Bull Advanced Technologies added “the RB17 marks an important milestone in the evolution of Red Bull Advanced Technologies. [We are] now fully capable of creating and manufacturing a series production car at our Red Bull Technology Campus.”

Red Bull will only offer 50 cars for collector purchase, with pricing starting at just over $6 million USD. Purchase of the RB17 will include additional perks bringing owners closer to the Red Bull Racing team. This includes access to simulators, vehicle development, on-track training, and exclusive experiences. Additionally, the Red Bull factory will directly support servicing and maintenance tailored to each owner and their user profile. Production for the RB17 is on track to begin in 2025.
