Following a series of successful releases with New Balance and Converse, Chicago-based designer Joe Freshgoods brings his talents to Vans. Freshgoods continues to expand his portfolio with “The Honeymoon Stage,” the inaugural sneakers and apparel collection with Vault by Vans. While teasing the partnership earlier in the week, Joe described the capsule as “the start to a strange yet educational relationship between myself and Vans this year.”

For the main event, Joe Freshgoods offers his take on Vans’ Style 36 LK model in three colorways. The lifestyle silhouette features shaggy suede overlays and checkerboard panels featuring “JFG” printed on various boxes. Additionally, the vulcanized rubber sole unit features a yellow foxing stripe for the classic skate design. The sneakers arrive in peace, red, and pink to fit the titular lovey-dovey theme. The kicks come packaged in a co-branded pink box with “Everything Happens For A Reason” inscribed in white on the outside.
Certainly not to be outdone are the various apparel pieces in the collection. The highlight here is the satin bowling shirt appearing in light tan with black accents and embroidered details. Also included in the collection are off-white track pants, socks with flame graphics, and twill logo shorts in black.
