Nike expands on its historic collegiate motif in the Dunk Low family with the addition of four HBCU-inspired designs. The “Be True to Your School” Pack introduces Florida A&M, Clark Atlanta University, North Carolina A&T, and Tennessee State University iterations of the Nike Dunk Low.
The 10 Best NBA Players Who Never Won a Ring

Starting with Florida A&M, the silhouette dons the school’s signature orange and green colors. A white leather base rests beneath bright orange overlays, laces, and interior lining. The tongue tags – as you’ll see on each sneaker – display the HBCU’s mascot rather than Nike branding. In this case, Florida A&M’s rattlesnake mascot Rattler appears. Other FAMU detailing includes an embroidered “WE BRAGG DIFFERENT” statement across the heel, referencing Bragg Memorial Stadium. Additionally, “COLOC” is embroidered on the forefront, an abbreviation of “College of Love and Charity,” and “1887” appears on the heel tab honoring the school’s founding year. Lastly, a white midsole with orange stitching meets a translucent blue outsole to complete the look.

Next up, Clark Atlanta University’s red, black, and grey takeover the silhouette. Smooth leather overlays in black are met with a muted gray hue as the base, while a striking red resides on the Swoosh, interior lining, and piping above the midsole. The school’s panther mascot appears on the tongue tag and across the forefoot of the translucent outsoles. Additionally, Clark Atlanta’s motto “FIND A WAY OR MAKE ONE” comes printed across the entirety of the laces. Heel tabs see “1988” embroidery, referencing the year that Clark College and Atlanta University converged to create Clark Atlanta University.
The Space Between Us

The North Carolina A&T’s Dunk Low “Ayantee” honors the agricultural and technical state university. The sneaker arrives with a silver-on-gray base with black Swoosh and interior lining. The school’s signature gold and blue provide a pop of color on the laces, tongue, insole, and heel tab. “Ayantee” branding appears as a repeated pattern on the laces while A&T initials stand out on the tongue tag. Additionally, the heel tab displays “1891” to commemorate the year the school was founded. Finally, a gray midsole meets a translucent mint green outsole to complete the design.

Finally, Tennessee State issues an eye-catching design that screams tiger pride. With an all-black leather base, hits of red and blue complement the quarters and mudguard. The year 1912 appears in red on the yellow heel tab honoring the school’s first year. Additional details include tiger print insoles and TSU insignia on the tongue. Down below, a white midsole and blue outsole complete the sneaker.
