MSCHF is no stranger to innovation when it comes to sneakers. The art collective best known for the Lil Nas X “Satan Shoes” and the Air Force 1-inspired Super Normal sneaker captures our attention once again with their latest creation. Inspired by the classic Gobstopper candy, MSCHF teams up with The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon for the Gobstomper.
Kyrie Irving Unveils His Nike Dunk Low Collaboration
At first glance, the sneakers seem fairly minimal. Gray suede exterior panels dominate the uppers fresh out of the box. However, with natural wear and tear, the sneakers gradually shed their outer layer to reveal brighter tones underneath. Yellow, blue, and red appear over time to mimic the aesthetic of the popular jawbreaker candy, the Gobstopper. Branding on the tongues sees a trio of exclamation points on the outer tag while co-branded MSCHF and Jimmy Fallon tags grace the inside. Additional MSCHF branding appears on the heel of the sole. Further details include colorful stripes across the toe tips and psychedelic treading to add to the multi-colored motif.
If you’re interested in copping, the Gobstomper will release on July 28th at 1 pm EST via a draw on the MSCHF Sneakers app. The retail price is set at $195 USD.
