Kyrie Irving first signed to Nike back in 2011, releasing the first of his uber-popular signature sneakers in 2014. Over the last eight years, Kyrie’s sneakers have become known for their eccentric designs and unique collaborations. We’re used to seeing the Brooklyn Nets star cross over defenders on the hardwood with his bag of ankle-snatching tricks. Now, Uncle Drew introduces us to a different crossover. Kyrie’s shown immense love for Dunks, wearing the hoops-turned-lifestyle sneaker regularly in the pre-game tunnel. For his first Dunk, Kyrie dresses the overlays and Swoosh in an unnamed light blue tone over a white leather base. Kyrie adds his own signature touch to the collars, which feature a pale yellow backdrop with “11” notations in honor of his jersey number. The heel tab features standard “NIKE” branding in a bold red color against a black background. The tongue tags forego the standard Nike Sportswear logos in favor of Kyrie’s personal insignia. Below, all-white midsoles segue into a coral-colored treading to complete the look.
Nike has yet to announce a release date, though we expect them to drop in the coming months. In the meantime, take a detailed look at the official images in the gallery above. Let us know how you’re feeling about these Dunks in the poll below!
