Check Out Nike’s Wild New Dunk Low “Safari Mix”

A hodgepodge of textures, tones, and materials.

As we all know, Dunks have incredible variation. Some are ultra-sleek with subtle color palettes and minute details, while others are loud, textured statement pieces. Nike’s “Safari” edition sneakers definitely align with the latter. Their latest iteration, dubbed the Dunk Low “Safari Mix”, is no different.

Safari prints have been around since iconic designer Tinker Hatfield drew inspiration from high-end furniture stores in the 1980s. We’ve seen a number of variations on Air Max 90s, Air Max 97s, and even the CR7 Mercurial Superfly soccer boots. The pattern selection shown in the gallery above is most reminiscent of the Dunk Low Scrap released in 2021.

Could These Be the Upcoming Air Jordan 1 High OG “Dark Mocha”?

The eyes are immediately drawn to the leopard prints located on the tips and heels with Nike’s signature “Safari” print on the mudguards. Nike utilizes texture with faux fur dyed in Dark Violet and Sea Green on parts of the uppers. The suede Swooshes feature mismatched hues of Khaki on the left sneaker and Turquoise on the right. Heel branding tags also vary, with a bright Candy Red on the left and Burnt Orange on the right. Mismatch eye stays also feature the Candy Red and Dark Violet hues. A simple white midsole atop a black rubber outsole style ensures the unique sneaker doesn’t do too much.

Nike has yet to announce a release date for the Dunk Low “Safari Mix”, though we expect them to drop within the coming weeks for around $110 USD. In the meantime, check out the official images in the gallery above. Be sure to share your thoughts by voting in the poll below!
