As 2023 quickly approaches, Nike readies its annual slew of Chinese zodiac-inspired sneakers. For 2023’s “Year of the Rabbit,” Nike crafts a beautiful Dunk Low with soft and gentle traits akin to the animal that is considered one of the luckiest of all animals in the twelve-year cycle.

To kick things off, soft white leather overlays cover a dusty suede base layer. A leaping bunny symbol appears stamped onto the lateral heel just beneath an eye-catching “Crimson” chenille outer Swoosh. The inner chenille Swoosh, meanwhile, sports a “Varsity Royal” tone that also appears on the interior lining and laces. The fuzzy “Crimson” hits the tongue tag beneath Chinese characters in white, as well as the heel tab beneath white Nike branding. Additionally, lace dubraes celebrate the year, while milky sole units reference both “2023” and “2011”. Insoles feature a special rabbit illustration in red to further the motif.
