Neckface and Nike SB Reveal a Horror-Themed Dunk Low

Centered around Neckface's signature evocative visual sensibility.

The work of renowned graffiti artist Neckface has appeared on just as many streets and buildings as it has on galleries and collaborations. Now, Neckface uses the Nike SB Dunk Low as the medium for his artistic vision. This isn’t the first time the Los Angeles-based artist teamed up with Nike. Previously, Neckface worked on a Blazer Mid and Dunk High with the Swoosh back in 2013. Unlike its predecessors, this collaboration is far less constrained.

J. Cole – 4 Your Eyez Only, Album Review

The Neckface x Nike SB Dunk Low showcases the surreal, at times grotesque style of the semi-anonymous figure. The somewhat unorthodox Dunk forgoes the traditional Swoosh set up in favor of its own signature look. With an all-black nubuck base, the uppers serve as a canvas for Neckface’s work. A plethora of patches are plastered throughout the uppers, none of which are ever duplicated in the design. Further, each patch falls under the umbrella of horror, depicting bats, tombstones, skulls, and monsters. Additional detailing includes cross-branded “NECK SB” tongue tags, mini embroidered Swooshes, and specially printed insoles. Down below, a white midsole marked by “SHOCKERS” graphic taping sits above black rubber outsoles to complete the look.

An official release date for the Neckface x Nike SB Dunk Low has yet to be announced. However, rumor has it this collaboration could see a Halloween release. We’ll keep you updated with new information as it becomes available. In the meantime, take a look at the official first look images in the gallery above. Be sure to let us know how you’re feeling about these SB Dunks in the poll below!
