First revealed back in March, the three-way collaboration featuring Kaws, sacai, and Nike finally has a release date for their Blazer Lows. The sneakers feature four distinct colorways, including “Neptune Blue,” “Team Red,” “Purple Dusk,” and, most recently, “Reed.”
Chitose Abe of sacai is no stranger to working closely with the Swoosh. Earlier this year, sacai’s work with CLOT and Japanese label fragment design on distinct Nike LDWaffles delivered two of the more premiere sneakers of the year. Additionally, sacai’s “Magma Orange” and “Classic Green” Blazers set the tone for this latest collaboration with Brooklyn-based artist Kaws.
Continuing this wave of momentum, Abe’s now-signature sneaker design features multi-layered uppers and a stacked sole moving up the heel. Brian Donnelly – the artist behind Kaws – applies signature color palettes from past works across the layers. His only design modifications come in the form of “XX” imprints near the front of the midsole, tongue label, and insole. A fresh co-branded logo emblazons the latter components. Abe and Donnelly previously linked up for a capsule collection titled “Wearable Art” earlier this year.

The sneakers are mainly constructed with synthetic leather. Contrasting swooshes, laces, and tongues adorn the top portion. Rubber reinforces both the bumper and heel. Exposed foam material on the tongues pay homage to the Nike Blazer’s distinguished history. The “Neptune Blue” colorway shows mismatch blue, yellow, and green hues, while the “Team Red” boasts a deep crimson with “Hot Lava” accents. The “Purple Dusk” rendition displays a beautiful deep purple contrasted with light blues, pinks, and a muted gray lace guard. Lastly, the most recently announced “Reed” colorway presents a tan base with shimmering teal and orange accents. Overall, each iteration is vibrant and unique, perfectly highlighting the visions of each collaborator. Each pair is expected to be priced at $120 USD.
The “Team Red” and “Neptune Blue” colorways will release on November 26th exclusively via sacai and kawsone.com. Meanwhile, the “Reed” and “Purple Dusk” are currently scheduled to release on December 9th.
