Have a Look at the CLOT x sacai x Nike LDWaffle “Orange”

Chitose Abe and Edison Chen reference CLOT’s older pieces for its latest collaboration.

Chitose Abe‘s has a lot to take on this fall as her footwear collection gears up for its initial release. This is a Nike footwear that have been in the works for quite a while. Even when she did her collar with fragment design, we didn’t see this much hype and anticipation. This time around she’s teaming up with CLOT for a two set collaboration. The first being the CLOT x sacai x Nike LDWaffle “Orange” which has just been unveiled by way of official imagery.

At the start we’re presented with a host of neutral tones and louder hits of color that harken back to CLOT’s classic Nike Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death”. A classic footwear piece that Nike had retro’d earlier this year. It all starts with the suede overlays and synthetic materials that make up most of the side paneling, both of which feature a sand-like color. Then we receive hits of vibrant orange and red accents that alternate on the sneakers double-stacked tongues, Swooshes, laces, and elongated midsoles. While minimal yet welcomed hits of green sit nicely atop the tongues and next to the throat. In addition, the foreground Swooshes that rest on the lateral and medial sides feature a snakeskin texture.

We have a slated release date set for September 9. You can take an official look at the images in the gallery above. Lastly, for more footwear and sneaker news, This New Balance 1500 in Muted Grey Gives Computer Programmer Vibes.
