As the holiday season fast approaches, we know gifts are on the way. Especially from some of our favorite tech giants. Sony is now introducing an entry-level Alpha A7 IV mirrorless camera perfect for this years gift to that up-in-coming photographer or that friend who just likes to shoot casual photos.
It all starts with a brand new backside-illuminated Exmor R full-frame sensor designed by Sony, the A7 IV features a 33 megapixel sensor into a really compact body, offering plenty of definition to your shots. Its ISO sensitivity ranges from 50 all the way to 204,800 to provide ample light detection, while the onboard BIONZ XR processing engine gives the camera the ability to snap at up to 10 frames per second. They’ve also reworked the autofocus system, now with 759 phase-detection AF points and real-time tracking.

As for videography, the A7 IV supports up to 4K shooting at 60fps and an S-Cinetone picture profile brought over from Sony’s own Cinema Line cameras. Rounding out the camera is a 15-stop dynamic range and robust weather resistance. For those interested, the Sony Alpha A7 IV is now available for pre-order over on Adorama for $2,500 USD.
