We’re coming hot of two coveted releases for the Air Jordan 1 — one in the “Neutral Grey” and the widely sought after Trophy Room collaboration — Jordan Brand continues to apply pressure by releasing official images of the Air Jordan 1 “University Blue.” We first saw these when Jordan Brand showcased its 2021 Air Jordan collection. With the “University Blue” iteration being the standout sneaker. Of course the sneaker gets its name from Michael Jordan‘s collegiate days with the UNC Tar Heels. Yet with new textures and materials to give the sneaker a fresh take.

You’ll find true “University Blue” on the mudguard, eyestays, heel and collar flaps. This time around, instead of traditional leather, Jordan Brand offers rich suede to give the shoe a premium feel. You’ll also find stark white tumbled leather on quarters and toe boxes while black tumbled leather sits on the swooshes and collars of the sneaker. They’ve also added a black Jordan Brand wings on the collar flaps. You’ll also be glad to know we’re getting nylon tongue tags in black and blue to add to the welcomed changes. This all sits atop a white midsoles and blue outsoles to finish the look.
The Air Jordan 1 “University Blue” had a release date set for February, but got delayed and pushed back to March 6. We’re still waiting on official confirmation from The Swoosh. But fans will be happy to know that this sneaker will arrive in an extended size run. With men’s pairs priced at $170, Grade School pairs set at $130, Pre-School pairs set at $80 and infant/toddler pairs set at $60 USD. You can take a detailed look at the images in the gallery above.
