Snoop Dogg Launches Death Row Cannabis Brand

Arriving in Cookies California stores this month.

Less than a year after his acquisition of Death Row Records from MNRK Music Group, Snoop Dogg is expanding the cultural platform to the cannabis business. The announcement came via a glitzy teaser video created by artist Mylarmen showing an animation of graffiti artist Eric Haze’s iconic Death Row logo

“Promising to return Death Row to its former glory, all elements of the former label are being refitted for today’s audience and their evolving tastes,” Death Row Cannabis writes in a press release.

Initially, the brand will launch a trove of OG strains including Runtz, Strawberry Gary, and Tropicana Cookies. The first drop will include branded pre-roll tubes, as well as limited-edition metallic bags with a revised Death Row logo. The revised logo shows the prisoner in the electric chair with one hand unchained to smoke a joint. In addition to Snoop Dogg, West Coast legacy cultivator AK will be involved with the brand. AK runs the brand SMKRS and serves as Vice President of Cultivation for TRP LLC.
