Tickets for Studio Ghibli’s Theme Park Are Now on Sale

The grand opening for Japan’s Ghibli Park takes place this November.

Studio Ghibli Park in Japan is almost set for its grand opening later this Fall with tickets now available for purchase.

Located in Aichi Earth Expo Memorial Park, less than two hours away by train from the city of Kyoto. Coming in at approximately 17.5 acres, the park features three open areas and includes Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse. Visitors can experience exhibits and artifacts from some of the studio’s most noteworthy films. The area will include a “Hill of Youth, which features an antique shop from Whisper of the Heart and recreated locations from The Cat Returns and Dondoko Forest from My Neighbor’s Totoro. This will also include a Totoro-themed playground.

The other two areas include the Mononoke Village and the Valley of Witches which will open after 2023. Various attractions from Castle in the Sky, Kiki’s Delivery Service, and The Secret World of Arrietty. These three out of five areas will be ready for visitors at the time of the grand opening on November 1, 2022. Studio Ghibli Park is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekends. However, that is except for Tuesdays unless it is a holiday.
