Hulu has shared the first official teaser trailer for its upcoming limited series, MIKE. Starring Trevante Rhodes as the enigmatic boxing legend, the series explores the wild, tragic, and controversial life of one of the most polarizing figures in sports history.
Adult Swim Announces Rick and Morty Anime Spinoff Series
Created and executive produced by Steven Rogers, MIKE offers an “unauthorized and no-holds-barred look at the life of Mike Tyson” across eight episodes. The series navigates the ups and downs of Tyson’s boxing career and personal life. From beloved global athlete to pariah and back again. Focusing the lens on Tyson, the series examines class and race in America, as well as fame, the power of media, the wealth divide, the American Dream, and, ultimately, society’s role in shaping Mike’s story. Rhodes stars opposite Russell Hornsby who plays boxing promoter Don King. Additionally, the cast includes Harvey Keitel as Tyson’s trainer Cus D’Amato, Laura Harrier, and Li Eubanks in limited guest appearances.

Interestingly enough, several reports have indicated that another limited series titled Tyson is also in development. For that project, Martin Scorsese will executive produce with Jamie Foxx set to portray the heavyweight champion. Mike Tyson gave his blessing to the Foxx-led series, though no meaningful updates have surfaced in quite some time.
MIKE premieres on August 25th on Hulu. You can watch the teaser trailer in the player above. As always, feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below!
