As we get closer and closer to summer, Nike keeps adding heat to the upcoming Sun Club Pack with yet another sunny, leisurely take on the Dunk Low. Having already announced a color-blocked Dunk Low in the pack, as well as a Blazer, the Sun Club adds yet another guest of honor. Inspired by sandy beaches and glorious summer sun, have a look at the latest Dunk Low to join the Sun Club.
BLACK COMME des GARÇONS Revives the ’80s Nike Eagle
This iteration of the Sun Club sees Nike manipulate the iconic Swoosh yet again, this time to resemble a black fin swimming in the water. The shark motif design is reminiscent of Oskar Rozenberg’s SB Dunk High when the Swedish skate savant changed the entire Swoosh into a great white shark. Getting back to this Dunk, Nike opts for classic tumbled leather overlays in a muted yellow to cover a white cloth-like base. The collar and interior lining, meanwhile, resembles a brown burlap cloth. Additionally, the tongue tag features exclusive “Nike Sun Club” branding with a hammock and palm tree design on the interior. Also included are green Volt insoles with Nike’s pinwheel logo to show the eco-conscious properties of the design. This all rests comfortably atop a white rubber midsole and tan outsole to complete the look.
Nike has yet to announce an official release date, though we expect these to drop in the coming weeks via Nike’s website and select retailers. In the meantime, take a look at the official photos in the gallery above. As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts in poll below.
