Google has officially unveiled its 10th-generation Pixel lineup, introducing four new smartphones powered by its most advanced chip to date, the Google Tensor G5. At a special Made by Google event hosted by Jimmy Fallon, the company debuted the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the groundbreaking Pixel 10 Pro Fold, describing them as “the most personalized, proactive and helpful Pixels ever.”

At the heart of the new series is the Tensor G5 processor, which enables a new version of Google’s on-device AI, Gemini Nano, to run 2.6 times faster and twice as efficiently as its predecessor. This power is complemented by a refreshed version of Android built on a new UI called Material 3 Expressive, which promises more personalization and fluidity through “springy animations and smooth interactions.”

The lineup kicks off with the impressive Pixel 10, which features a 6.3-inch Actua display capable of a super bright 3,000 nits and is the first in its tier to include a 5x telephoto lens. Building on that foundation, the Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL, available in 6.3-inch and 6.8-inch sizes respectively, feature Google’s best camera system ever, with up to 100x zoom capabilities. The Pro models also boast the biggest batteries ever in a Pixel, 16GB of RAM as standard, and are the first major Android phones to support the new Qi2 wireless charging standard, launching alongside a new line of “Pixelsnap” accessories.

The star of the show, however, is the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, which Google is calling its “most durable foldable yet.” Crafted from aerospace-grade aluminum with a new gearless hinge, the device’s most notable feature is its IP68 rating for water and dust resistance—a claimed first for a foldable phone. Google states the device can handle over 10 years of folding and features significant camera improvements, all powered by the same Tensor G5 chip found in the rest of the lineup.

Pre-orders for the Pixel 10 series begin today. The Pixel 10 ($799 USD), Pixel 10 Pro ($999 USD), and Pixel 10 Pro XL ($1,199 USD) will launch on August 28, while the Pixel 10 Pro Fold ($1,799 USD) is scheduled for release on October 9.
