Italian fashion house Marni and workwear subdivision Carhartt WIP are readying one of the first major collaborations of 2023. Building on the workwear suits made in collaboration with Kunichi Nomura, Carhartt continues to experiment with elevated forms of the style. Now, the brand connects with Marni creative director Francesco Risso for a vibrant mashup.
Bode Named 2022 CFDA American Menswear Designer of the Year
The upcoming series includes a range of modified workwear staples and accessories dressed in yellow and green floral block prints. Marni’s playful use of color takes over flap-pocket shirts, flared pants, heavy zip-up hoodies, and asymmetric skirt pants. Further, tote bags, bucket hats, and platform slip-ons feature Carhartt patches paired with Marni logo stitching. The collection also features tunics and work shirts dressed in a rustic mix of canvas and corduroy fabrics finished with bright red collars. Finally, bourbon leather jackets and knitted orange-and-black logo print sweaters complete the forward-thinking collection.
Marni x Carhartt WIP arrives on January 14 at Carhartt stores, Marni boutiques, and Marni’s website. For Japan, however, products drop on January 25. Check out the official campaign and product images in the gallery. As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
