Over the years, we’ve seen sneaker brands release a plethora of designs inspired by Christmas and the holiday season. One of the more iconic characters to appear as a motif is the fictional hater of the jolly holiday, Dr. Seuss‘ The Grinch. First appearing in 2010 when Nike introduced the Kobe 6 “Grinch,” the character now appears as inspiration for an adidas Forum Low.

The uppers for this holiday-themed Forum Low feature two shades of bold greens made from shaggy suedes as a callback to the character’s fur. Tongue tags split their branding between The Grinch’s evil eyes on the right shoe and adidas Trefoil on the left. Additional adidas branding appears on the suede straps at the top of the laces. Insoles feature imagery of the animated creature dressed in Santa-inspired garb. Additionally, the sneakers feature removable pins that can be used to further accessorize the kicks. Pins display The Grinch’s various facial expressions, as well as his sidekick Max and several gifts. Lastly, the sneakers come inside a special red shoe box as The Grinch dangles an adidas-branded ornament.
You can expect the adidas Forum Low “Grinch” to arrive on December 1 through adidas and select retailers. In the meantime, take a second to peruse the nostalgia-inducing images in the gallery above.
