Featuring a Fitbit activity tracker.

Google has officially unveiled its first smartwatch, the new Pixel Watch powered by Wear OS. The watch joins Google’s updated Pixel lineup, which also includes the new Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones. The Pixel Watch combines the very best of Google and Fitbit into a custom stainless steel case in a trio of colors with twenty band pairings.

For the design, Google opts for a circular, domed watch face that’s both scratch and water-resistant (up to 50 meters). Case options include the jewelry-inspired “Champagne Gold,” “Matte Black,” and “Polished Silver”. Watch bands arrive in active, stretch, woven, metal, and leather materials with various colors available. Similar to its main competitor, Pixel Watch faces are customizable which, along with an easily modified user interface, offer further personalization options.

Pixel Watch’s Fitbit integration features all the health and fitness insights from Fitbit’s standard devices. This includes heart rate monitoring, sleep scores, and fall detection. Additionally, from Google’s end, Wallet, Maps, Google Assistant, Gmail, Calendar, and YouTube Music deliver essential smartphone functions to your wrist. Further design details include a side button placed above the tactile crown to navigate recently used apps.

“The watch combines the smarts and helpfulness you know and love from Google with Fitbit’s health and fitness expertise, all in an elegant design,” writes Google.

Pre-orders for the Google Pixel Watch are currently open, with prices starting at $350 USD. Additional details can be found here.
