We’re deep into this year’s baseball season. and Nike’s SB imprint is releasing a series of Dunks inspired by major league ballclubs. First up is one of the most decorated and legendary franchises in MLB history – the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Nike Adds a Quilted Base to the Dunk Low for Autumn
For the Dunk Low “Dodgers” Nike SB uses the classic Dodger blue hue in suede above a white leather base akin to a pearly new baseball. Striking dashes of red appear on the tongue label and heel as a nod to the red numbers on the team’s jerseys. Exposed stitching around the Swoosh resembles the embroidery on MLB uniforms. Additionally, two different playful graphics appear on the interior tongues. The left shoe hides a cartoon palm tree while the right shows a silhouette of the team’s “Welcome to Dodger Stadium” sign. Rounding out the sneaker, a wide midsole meets a gum sole with a blotch of bubble gum pink on the right shoe.
Nike SB has yet to reveal a release date for the Dunk Low “Dodgers,” though skate shops expect to receive the sneakers in the coming weeks for $115 USD. While we wait, take a moment to view the official images in the gallery above. As always, let us know how you’d rate the shoes in the poll below!
