New Balance’s collaborative roster continues to grow with the addition of multi-hyphenate artist Donald Glover. Following his departure from adidas in 2020 after a trio of successful footwear releases, Glover steps in to give his take on the New Balance RC30.

Glover’s take on the RC30 draws inspiration from the original New Balance Trackster with an experimental edge on functional minimalism. The kicks appear in two colorways – the first in a mustard base with white accents and the second in gray and white with hints of navy. For both iterations, the uppers use a mix of nylon and suede at different points. Additional details include the curved sole ripples and stretched “N” logo. New Balance’s Joe Grondin feels the collaboration offers “no loud colors or branding, just classic, easy-to-wear colorways of a new silhouette that fits Donald’s style.”
The New Balance RC30 by Donald Glover will see a global release via Market by Gilga starting July 8. New Balance will coordinate a wider launch on their website and with select retailers starting July 18. The retail price will be $120 USD.
