Check Out the First Trailer for Marvel’s ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’

Directed by Ryan Coogler.

It’s been a huge weekend for Marvel fans as San Diego Comic-Con is in full swing. Among the litany of news emerging from Kevin Feige and the MCU came the highly-anticipated trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The emotional trailer shows the citizens of Wakanda coping with the reality of a world without Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa.

‘Yo! MTV Raps’ Announces Return with New Trailer

Though Boseman may be gone, T’Challa is certainly not forgotten. There’s hope amidst the grief, with the birth of new life and a glimpse at the future. Rather than recast Boseman’s iconic role, the studio opted to focus on the supporting cast for the sequel. In the trailer, fans get a closer look at the return of Lupita Nyong’o, Angela Bassett, Winston Duke, and Danai Gurira.

“It feels spiritually and emotionally correct to do this,” said Nyong’o. “And hopefully, what I do look forward to, is getting back together and honoring what he started with us and holding his light through it. Because he left us a lot of light that we’re still going to be bathing in. I know that for sure.”

Additionally, the trailer introduces new characters such as Tenoch Hurta’s Namor the Submariner, Mabel Cadena’s Namora, and Dominique Thorne’s Ironheart. The two-minute teaser concludes with a clawed sneak peek of a new Wakandan hero, possibly Letitia Wright’s Shuri. Further, Kevin Feige confirmed that the forthcoming sequel will conclude Phase 4 of the MCU.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives in theaters on November 11. You can watch the official trailer in the player above. As always, feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below!
