After receiving the worldwide release dates for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, a new trailer arrived showcasing familiar heroes and a new Gohan transformation.
We received glimpses Piccolo’s new form and Cell Max. Although the one anime clip that matters for Dragon Ball Super fans is the clip which features a new Gohan Transformation. A highly anticipated film for the franchise. Furthermore, the animation looks absolutely stellar. It is the twenty first Dragon Ball feature film overall. It’s also the fourth produced with Toriyama’s direct involvement and the second to carry the Dragon Ball Super branding. It is the first to be produced mainly using 3D animation.

Creator Akira Toriyama revealed that this new Gohan transformation. Dubbed “Son Gohan Beast,” was originally designed with a menacing features. Including pale skin and red eyes. Toriyama felt the look didn’t quite fit Gohan, so instead, elected to show how a wild beast within him has awakened. For the clip, we see that his Super Saiyan emerald eyes are now red. His hair also looks as if he’s in SSJ2 with a mix of Ultra Instinct. You can watch the full trailer and check out the new Gohan transformation in the player above.
