Since the sneaker community has seen nearly every color combination imaginable on Dunks, Nike keeps the silhouette’s momentum strong by toying with various materials. For their latest Dunk High, the Swoosh contrasts color and texture to create a refreshing look across the classic sneaker.
This iteration of the Dunk High steers away from the Swoosh’s traditional smooth patent leather upper in favor of tumbled leather panels. Gracing the toe boxes, quarters, and collars, tumbled leather adds a rigid texture beneath smooth tan overlays. A striking maroon leather Swoosh receives a glossy finish along with a muted brown filling. The interior lining provides a distinct pop of springtime flair with a mossy green hue. Additional details include woven mesh tongues in white, maroon branding on the tongue tags, and tan laces. Underneath, a speckled white midsole and green Grind Rubber outsole indicate the shoe is made using sustainable materials.
Keep an eye out for these Dunk Highs to release via Nike’s website and select retailers for the upcoming Fall season. In the meantime, you can take a detailed look at the official images in the gallery above. As always, tell us how you’re feeling about these by leaving a score in the poll below!
