Warner Bros. will continue the Ocean’s franchise. Based on a report from The Hollywood Reporter, Margot Robbie will star and produce the new Ocean’s Eleven film. With a script written by Carrie Solomon and the project, directed by Jay Roach who directed Robbie in her best-supporting actress Oscar nomination for Bombshell. While the news regarding the film is still in developmental stages, the new film will be set in the original Ocean’s Eleven set in Europe in the 1960s.

Robbie will produce the film alongside Tom Ackerley. As previously stated, the film is still in the developmental stages regarding the script and has yet to be green-lit, but the goal is to begin filming in Spring 2023. The Oceans’ franchise first launched in 2001 with George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon and more. It made a triumphant return with an all-female cast for Ocean’s 8 with Sandra Bullock, Helena Bonham Carter and Rihanna. It appears Robbie’s rendition of the film might be following in the footsteps of the modern interpretation of the storyline. No further details have been released.
