Nike’s SB imprint has made it a priority this year to collaborate with several local skate organizations on a series of Dunks. We’ve already seen the label work with Brooklyn’s KCDC and Chicago’s FroSkate on a pair of colorful Dunk Highs. Now, the Swoosh teams up with Skate Like a Girl for a beautifully textured Dunk Low.
Adidas x Gucci Share Opulent ’80s Fitness Catalogue Ahead of Global Release
Skate Like a Girl is a nonprofit organization empowering young women and trans people to become strong, confident leaders who promote and implement equity through the vehicle of skateboarding. For its Nike SB Dunk Low, Skate Like a Girl keeps it classy with “Barely Rose” suede uppers covering a “Summit White” suede base. The sneaker features additional texture in the form of “University Red” corduroy Swooshes, as well as a white corduroy tongue and maroon corduroy interior lining. Cross-branded tongue tags feature an upside-down Swoosh. Further, the heel displays a hand-holding motif encouraging us to help each other back up. This all sits beautifully atop a white midsole and gum rubber outsole to complete the sneaker.
We’re still waiting for Nike to reveal the official images and release information for their Skate Like a Girl collaboration. Look for this collaboration to release later this year via Skate Like A Girl’s website and select skate shops. The sneaker will come with a $130 USD price tag. Keep it locked right here for more information as soon as it is made available.
