After a brief hiatus, Jah Darko makes his return. This time with an all new visual to accompany his new single dubbed “Curtains”. It’s likely one of his best records to date, as the song showcases his vulnerability and openness regarding his love interests and some difficulties that stem from love and deep connections. Sometimes things work out and sometimes they leave more to be desired. Often its how things play out. What Jah Darko does well is help the listener connect with the emotions behind each feeling. The sonics feature a bassy synth lead with heavy kicks and booming 808’s. All these elements come together to create something truly special.

WAVYPACK Radio 002 – “The Heart’s I.D.”

In the Andrew Olszewski directed visual, Jah struggles with helping his current love interest connect with how he’s feeling. Shot by Laura Flick and Max Richter. They the two help capture Jah reevaluating his current relationship and his feelings for her after what we’d assume were several failed attempts. We think the record speaks volumes about the dynamics found in many relationships. Jah does his best to relay those emotions on “Curtains” with an assist Johan Lenox and helps the listener feel a little more empathy. Jah Darko is growing and changing. His records now come saturated with maturity and showcases a star coming into his own. You can watch the full video for “Curtains” in the player above.
