At age 38, the California native threw for 37 touchdowns and a mere 4 interceptions with a league-leading 111.9 quarterback rating. Rodgers thanked coach Matt LaFleur and general manager Brian Gutekunst in his speech, saying:

“What a year, huh? It’s been an amazing 17 years. So thankful for the memories and the moments over the years.”

However, it was just a year ago when Rodgers referred to his future with the Packers as a “beautiful mystery” before boycotting their entire offseason. Rodgers became disgruntled when the Packers wouldn’t allow his say in “things that directly affected his job.” Additionally, he felt the team’s selection of quarterback Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 draft was his sign that the two sides were reaching a split. Rodgers’ future in Green Bay is still in question. There’s still a possibility he could force his way to a new team this offseason.

Additional NFL award winners include Rams’ Cooper Kupp and Steelers’ linebacker T.J. Watt for Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively. Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel took home Coach of the Year.
