For automotive enthusiasts, Gooding & Company’s annual Amelia Island auction is one of the most exciting events of the year. Amelia Island has become synonymous with Porsche over the years thanks to its plethora of sales from iconic collections. This year, Gooding & Co. will be selling vehicles from two more prestigious collections.
The Mercedez-Benz G-Wagon To Go All Electric
Lots from the Lloyd Hawkins Collection as well as the late Rudy “Mr. 993” Mancinas Collection feature some of the rarest classic Porsches and BMWs. The Hawkins Collection includes important competition cars like the RSR and 935 models. Hawkins was a talented racer and participated in professional and historic racing series’ with his beloved cars. Additionally, the Mancinas Collection holds plenty of modern classics finished in rare one-off colors. Mancinas focused his collection on limited-production, enthusiast models. Further, several cars were “Rudyfied” with personal touches and modifications to enhance the appearance and make the cars more unique. Both collectors are extremely well-respected in the Porsche community.

- 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera 4S (Estimate: $150,000 USD – $200,000 USD, Without Reserve)
