We appreciate unexpected collaborations and yes; we know Medicom Toy and Nike SB have a rich collaborative history dating back to 2004, but this is the first time they’ve given their take on the Nike SB Blazer. With that being said it’s been a busy week for the Japanese toy company but we’re glad they’re ending it on a pleasant note.
It all starts with that clean sail-colored upper made of entirely of shaggy pony hair. The swooshes feature the same color while heel tabs feature black the Nike spelt out for some welcomed contrast. You’ll also find Medicom Toy branding on the lateral heel and the deconstructed tongue.
The thing we find interesting is throughout the entire sneaker. You’d never know it was a Nike SB unless you peep the insoles as they feature Nike SB branded insoles, the only place in fact that features Nike SB branding. The insoles also sport a BE@RBRICK outlined print along with a text graphic. This all sits atop a white midsole and traditional gum outsole.
Apparently the Medicom Toy x Nike SB Blazer Low’s drop on December 26, although we have received no confirmation from Nike. We also have no pricing on these babies. But as soon as we find out. We’ll keep you updated. Lastly, for more sneaker news, Check Out the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom Comfort “London”.
