Apple continues to push the boundaries of its ever-growing AirPods line. The tech giant returns with a new premium over-the-ear headphone dubbed AirPods Max. These headphones come with several classic AirPods functionalities except with an all new over-ear design.
For starters, AirPods Max includes a custom acoustic design, Adaptive EQ, Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency mode and spatial audio. The headphones themselves are joined using a knit mesh canopy that spans the headband, distributing weight equally and reducing pressure on the wearer.
A place where the AirPods Max shine is in the battery life department. You get a silly 20 hours of audio, talk time or movie playback. We’ll take that all day! It also comes with a Smart Case that put the headphones into an ultralow power mode, in order to preserve battery life. The AirPods Max come in five different colors including “Space Gray,” “Silver,” “Sky Blue,” “Green” and “Pink.”
For the official launch, Apple’s new senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing Greg Joswick said:
“AirPods are the most popular headphones in the world, beloved for their effortless setup, incredible sound quality, and iconic design. With AirPods Max, we are bringing that magical AirPods experience to a stunning over-ear design with high-fidelity audio. The custom acoustic design, combined with powerful H1 chips, and advanced software enable AirPods Max to use computational audio to wirelessly deliver the ultimate personal listening experience.”
