Nike Sportswear continues to release new iterations of the Dunk High. They’ve made such a resurgence this year, of course, pulling heavily from the classic ’80s Nike Dunk style. This year we saw the “Michigan,” “Michigan State” and “Pure Platinum” all feature the standard rubber soles. And that standard mesh collar to give it that classic look. This time around, however, the Dunk High “Varsity Purple” which is a woman’s shoe. Now features modernized stylistic touches to give it a updated look.

It all starts with a mix of white and purple leather on the upper. You’ll find the former on the toe boxes, quarters panels and collars. While the latter gives it a boost of color found on the mudguards, eye stays, Swooshes, laces, collar flaps and heels. We’ll keep it a buck with you. These once again would’ve been shelf sitters a few years ago. We get it. The color blocking scheme is simple yet effective. What’s you wouldn’t expect is the fancy gold detailing found on the Nike tongue tag and the premium satin collar lining. This all sits atop a crisp white midsole and a purple-tinted translucent outsole.

We expect these based on the news and reports we’ve received on December 3 via the Nike SNKRS for a retail price of $120, although Nike has yet to confirm these two points. We will keep you posted when we learn more. In the meantime, for more footwear news, The Air Jordan 3 “Court Purple” Will Not Release in North America.
