It’s 2020, and Drake is undeniably still the most popular star in music. Today the Canadian superstar released a new single. This time around he’s enlisted Lil Durk for this new record, “Laugh Now Cry Later.”

Overall, the song is solid, nothing you haven’t heard from Drake before. But the visual takes a turn, shot at the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. In the video we find Drizzy training for a variety of sports that the footwear giant supports. Drake and Durk also enlist athletes including Kevin Durant and OBJ as the celebrate success and overcoming their struggles.

“And I never been embraced/And the moneys hard to make/So I bet they on they face right,”

As with Drake’s latest visuals, the video has comedic edge to it. As Drake get’s tackled by Marshawn Lynch and can barely get up. There’s also an emotional scene where the OVO frontrunner gets interrupted as he responds slightly shaken, “It’s been a long fight and I just had to have a warrior’s spirit.”

“Laugh Now Cry Later” dropped shortly after OVO engineer Noel Cadastre informed fans on social media that Drizzy’s upcoming album was “90%” finished. “…but y’all gonna have to wait on that last 10%,” Cadastre added. The name of Drake’s next album was announced on social media as Certified Lover Boy and drops later this year following his mixtape Dark Lane Demo Tapes.
