Netflix Reopens the Basement for ‘That ’90s Show’ Official Teaser

Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp reprise their roles from 'That '70s Show'.

Netflix has finally delivered an official teaser for That ’90s Show, a sequel to the hit sitcom That ’70s Show. The new series sees Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp return in their much-loved roles of Red and Kitty Forman, respectively.

The year is 1995 and Leia Forman – daughter of Eric and Donna – is visiting her grandparents in Point Place, Wisconsin. While there, she meets her rebellious neighbor Gwen and her friends before deciding to stay for the summer. Naturally, the Foreman’s open their iconic basement to a new generation of Point Place kids. New cast members include Callie Haverda, Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Maxwell Acee Donovan, Reyn Doi, and Sam Morelos.

While the sequel series will largely focus on this new group, original cast members are set to make guest appearances in the first season. This includes Topher Grace, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Laura Prepon, Tommy Chong, and Wilmer Valderrama. Additionally, to make sure the soundtrack captures the decade as effectively as the first series, guitarist James Iha of Smashing Pumpkins serves as a composer for the series.
