MSCHF Remixes the Gobstomper Flavor with New “Sour Edition”

An acidic variation of the wear and tear sneaker.

Earlier this year, New York art collective MSCHF debuted the Gobstomper, a wear-and-tear sneaker that gradually sheds its exterior to reveal colorful layers. Following the gray suede “Jimmy Fallon Edition,” the Gobstomper takes on a sour taste with MSCHF’s latest rendition.

Nike Gives the Dunk Low LX a “Black Suede” and Cream Makeover

Once again drawing inspiration from the Gobstopper candy, the Gobstomper features several green and purple layers. The “Sour Edition” begins as a primarily black sneaker with neon green accents throughout. As the layers wear away with time, the acidic green and purple hues take over. MSCHF brings back the triple exclamation point logo on the tongue tags, as well as the foot logo on the heel tab. Under neath, soles are decorated with a psychedelic pattern emanating from the signature foot logo.

The MSCHF Gobstomper “Sour Edition” will release on December 6 exclusively through the MSCHF sneakers app. Winners will be chosen via drawing at a price of $195 USD.
