Before Chinese New Year celebrations begin on January 22, Nike hypes up the festivities with their latest Dunk Low. After surfacing via leaked images back in November, we now have an official look at the upcoming Nike Dunk Low “Year of the Rabbit”.
Nike Commemorates the Lunar New Year with Upcoming Dunk High
Immediately you’ll notice the colorful ensemble decorating these sneakers. Overlays alternate between light blues, royal blues, and reds – colors symbolic of Chinese culture. The Swooshes and tongue banners receive furry textures in white to represent a rabbit’s fur. Further, the tongue banners swap out Nike branding in favor of Chinese characters that translate to “Rabbit” in English. Nike adds lace deubrés with gilded finishes and “2023” script to mark the new year. Additionally, golden bunny icons appear on the footbeds and lateral heels. Finally, Nike branding on the heel tabs arrives in an upscale luxe gold hue to complete the look.
