Raf Simons

Off-White™ Outlines Plan for Post-Virgil Abloh Era

Since entering the industry in 1995, Raf Simons has established himself as a visionary in fashion. After working as a furniture designer, Simons achieved cult status for his youth-oriented clothing collections. Drawing inspiration from the underground art and music scenes helped Simons craft a unique design language with recognizable minimalist silhouettes. Simons bent his own house rules of structure and form when crafting what would be his final collection. His most recent offering drew upon rave influences, ’80s punk references, and subverted tailoring for a highly-wearable body of work.

“I lack the words to share how proud I am of all that we have achieved,” Simons wrote. “I am grateful for the incredible support from my team, from my collaborators, from the press and buyers, from my friends and family, and from our devoted fans and loyal followers. Thank you all, for believing in our vision and for believing in me.”

While the news concludes Raf Simons as a brand, the designer will continue serving as co-creative director of Prada.
