Though LeBron and company may have had a wildly underwhelming season this year, there’s no doubt the Los Angeles Laker brand remains iconic. Last year, Nike dropped a Dunk High EMB honoring the Lakers’ all-black throwback jerseys. This time around, the Swoosh keeps it classic with their approach. While these kicks aren’t officially associated with the 17-time champions, their two-tone color blocking is obviously emblematic of the franchise.
The Swoosh Gets Exotic with the Nike Dunk Low “Snakeskin”
For this iteration of the Dunk High, Nike pulls directly from the Lakers’ iconic purple and gold color palette. The all-leather build features “Court Purple” on the overlays, Swooshes, and interior lining. Meanwhile, the toe boxes, quarters, and collars don a golden-yellow shade. For the branding, the tongues and insoles use traditional Nike Sportswear logos. This all rests atop a white midsole and purple outsole to complete the sneaker.
Nike has yet to announce an official release date for this Dunk High. However, it’s expected to release via Nike’s website and select retailers in the coming weeks for $110 USD.
