The Panigale V4 SP2 is Ducati’s “Ultimate Racetrack Machine”

Packed with technology for non-professional riders to break their track records.

Italian motorcycle company Ducati unveiled their latest top-of-the-line superbike this week – the Panigale V4 SP2. Known for its tech-meets-sport style, the Ducati Panigale family continues an evolution in high-performance riding. The new Panigale V4 SP2 features plenty of technology that allows non-professional riders to enjoy a more instinctive, less strenuous ride.

With this special model, Ducati crafts “The Ultimate Racetrack Machine” ideal for non-professional riders looking to experience record-breaking track days. Cosmetically, a special “Winter Test” palette characterizes the superbike. The matte black of the fairings combines with the matte carbon finish of the rims and wings. This contrasts bright red accents and an exposed, brushed aluminum tank. Further, an Italian flag adorns the double-profile wings.

The Panigale V4 SP2 also incorporates updated carbon fiber wheels, a more powerful braking system, and an MCS radial master cylinder. The superbike weighs in at 370 pounds, surprisingly light for a piece of machinery of this caliber. Additionally, the bike features 210 horsepower at 12,500 rpm and 90.6 lb-ft of torque. This is made possible thanks to a 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale MotoGP-derived engine.  To capitalize on the potential of this engine, Ducati dedicated gear-by-gear torque curves and four distinct Power Modes. A kit for track use that includes billet aluminum caps to remove rear-view mirrors and an open carbon clutch cover is included with delivery.

Ducati’s Panigale V4 SP2 comes with a $39,500 USD price tag and will be available later this year. We welcome you to peruse official images of the Ducati Panigale in the gallery above. As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
