Crossovers between luxury fashion houses and streetwear brands are off to a hot start in 2022. Most notably, Prada and adidas premiered a new joint capsule of apparel and accessories, as well as four iterations of sneakers. The brands previously linked up on the Superstar and Luna Rossa 21. Much like their earlier work, Prada brings their minimalist design aesthetic to fancify the iconic three stripes.
First up are the shoes. Monochromatic variations of adidas Forum Hi and Lows feature leather, synthetic, and nylon materials. Both models are dressed in a heavenly “Triple White” or stealthy “Triple Black” colorway. The sneakers include “Prada Milano” branding on the tongues. Further, each pair comes with a detachable nylon pouch with metallic silver zippers and branding as an homage to Prada’s signature bag. The bag is attached atop the laces on the Lows and on the outside panel of the Forum Hi. The soles on all models are standard rubber with adidas branding.

Now onto the apparel. The ready-to-wear capsule includes jackets, tracksuits, tops, bags, and bucket hats made from Prada’s signature Re-Nylon material. Re-Nylon is a sustainable version of nylon made from recycled plastic. Pieces are dressed as black with white stripes or, inversely, white with black stripes. Adidas logo branding is noticeably absent from these pieces, letting the three stripes do all the talking. Prada’s emblematic triangle logo is placed underneath a discreet pocket on the left breast of torso garments. Slick chrome zipper pulls also feature Prada branding. Overall, the pieces feel like the perfect mixture of the Italian fashion house and the Three Stripes. Lastly, the brands noted there will be six bags in the collection. However, at the time of writing, they have yet to be revealed in full detail.
