A futuristic iteration of the classic sneaker.

Edison Chen’s brand CLOT is preparing another highly sought-after collaboration with Nike. After launching a denim collection with Levi’s earlier this month, the streetwear label is diving back into footwear for its latest project: the CLOT x Nike Dunk High.

Off the bat, this feels like a sneaker you’d want to see in person before deciding whether you like it or not. Holographic “Metallic Silver” uppers accented with translucent TPU overlays aren’t the most camera-friendly pieces. But playing with fabric and texture are cornerstones of CLOT’s aesthetic, which in the past has drawn from ancient Chinese tradition. The glossy colorway includes silver satin sock liners and perforated toe boxes. Additionally, the Swoosh branding is shaped by the exposed stitching design as opposed to a separate piece of material. The sneakers also feature co-branded tongue tags and printed insoles. The futuristic upper rests on a clean white midsole and includes matching laces to complete the sleek look.

The CLOT x Nike Dunk High is scheduled release sometime later this year. You can take a look at the official on-foot images in the gallery above. Sneakerheads appear to be in split opinion over this one. So be sure to add your take by voting in the poll below!
