Bugatti Set To Release the $18 Million Bugatti “La Voiture Noire”

We first saw this beauty at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Now the time has finally come, Bugatti‘s “La Voiture Noire” will release this Spring. The Chiron-based concept is a contemporary reimagining of the iconic Bugatti Type they initially launched 57SC Atlantic and in celebration of Bugatti’s 110th anniversary.

Within the week, the French automotive company took to Instagram, sharing photos of the “La Voiture Noire” settled next to historic French landmarks such as the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. Each with the caption:

“Past? Future? It does not matter what year this is anymore. When you want to find something so badly, it’s always Day 1 of the chase. See you on May 31st, 2021.”

With a heart similar to that of the Chiron, the new “La Voiture Noire” will come powered by an 8.0-liter, 16-cylinder quad-turbo engine. That’s 1,479 horses with with 1,180lb-ft of torque. Aesthetically, the car is a beauty, starting with its sleek sbespoke carbon-fiber body which features a unibody construction. Though it takes design cues from the Type 57SC Atlantic, “La Voiture Noire” also includes a rear fascia with six exhaust pipes, adding to the astronomical price of the hyper-car.

“La Voiture Noire” will set you back a cool $18 million. Which makes it the most expensive new car ever made. There’s no news on the lucky owner of this one of one hyper-car.
