Today we get a first look at Studio Ghibli’s upcoming theme park. If you’re unaware, the grand-opening is set for Fall 2022 at the Expo Memorial Park in Nagakute, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. The theme park features attractions from Studio Ghibli classics such as Princess Mononoke, My Neighbour Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service, and Howl’s Moving Castle, and many more.

While it is still a work in progress, and there’s still a good amount of time until the official theme park opens. From the images we’ve received, we see some major strides in progress. Fans can get a fairly good idea of what the theme park will look like. The two principal attractions are of course Howl’s Castle, which will stand 52 feet high and the “Mononoke no Sato” (Mononoke’s village), a forest attraction inspired by Princess Mononoke‘s Irontown.
Keep in mind, this is so small feat, the Studio Ghibli theme park will cost roughly $323 million to complete but for loyal fans this matters very little. You can take a look at the official tweet below. Lastly, for more entertainment news, check out our list of The Best Studio Ghibli Movies Ranked.
