Apex Legends Comes to the Nintendo Switch This March

With cross platform gameplay support available upon release.

Game developer Respawn Entertainment announced the official launch date for Apex Legends on the Nintendo Swtich. There have been rumors about this announcement for months, a suggested release date of February 2, but now we have the official release date, which is now March 9th.

Known for games such as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Titanfall, the understand what works. We’re happy to know that Apex will support cross platform. Meaning Switch users can compete with Xbox, PC, or PlayStation users. The developer continues to promise “full feature parity”, reassuring there will be no major changes in visuals.

For the project, Respawn teamed up with Panic Button to spearhead the project. Apex Legends game director, Chad Grenier said in a statement,

“Porting Apex Legends to its smallest screen yet is a major achievement, and we couldn’t have done it without our friends at Panic Button. We’re very proud of what the team has been able to achieve with some smart optimizations for the Switch port to deliver a full-featured Apex Legends experience on the go.”
