We’ve heard from Jordan Vogt-Roberts regarding the progress of his Metal Gear Solid feature film. He revealed he had a few actors he’d tap for the role of Solid Snake. Well the meetings and castings are over and they’ve selected American-Guatemalan actor Oscar Isaac, to play the legendary special operations soldier.  If you don’t know who Oscar Isaac is, you’ve been missing out. He’s for best known for his role as Poe Dameron in the seventh to ninth episodes of Star Wars. But has also starred in huge films such as the 2014 hit sci-fi-thriller Ex-Macina.

The film, based on the now 33-year-old video game franchise of the same name, created by Hideo Kojima for Konami back in 1987. The script, written by Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker‘s Derek Connolly, with Avi Arad who worked on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse‘s producing and Peter Kang serving as the executive producer.

We have no news on a release date for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid film, but we will keep you posted when we learn anything. We’d also just like to say, we think Oscar is a fantastic selection. He’s one of the best actors in the game right now, and this will just showcase his talents even more. Lastly, for more entertainment news, James Bond ‘No Time to Die’ Movie Gets New Release Date.
