Apple’s iPhone 12 is officially the world’s best-selling 5G smartphone. This actually happened back in October, despite only having two weeks of sales that month. Based on a report by the accounting marketing firm Counterpoint Research, Apple’s latest smartphone made up more than a quarter of 5G smartphone sales in October.
This news was unexpected considering the iPhone 12’s release date was pushed back to the middle of the month. There’s no news why the release was pushed back but, The Wall Street Journal reported that it could be because of the global Coronavirus pandemic and likely manufacturing problems in Asia. Furthermore, the iPhone 12 Pro — which dropped simultaneously — beat out the Samsung’s Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G. We’ll be honest, this comes at no surprise to us. It’s the iPhone and it will always do numbers.
