Audemars Piguet has just released its first-ever Self winding Flying Tourbillon in the Royal Oak design. Arriving the three variations — 18k pink gold with a smoked grey “Evolutive Tapisserie” dial, titanium which features a sandblasted slate grey dial, and stainless steel with a smoked blue “Evolutive Tapisserie” dial — each watch receives the Code 11.59’s Calibre 2950 movement.
Each watch features the elegant 41mm case size, the Royal Oaks see a flying tourbillon with a central rotor at the 6 o’clock position along with details like an open-worked oscillating weight, a “Côtes de Genève”-decorated movement, along with AP’s signature triple-blade folding clasp bracelet.
Now this does resemble the Royal Oak Extra-Thin (ref. 26522TI) but it’s a completely different timepiece. While the Royal Oak Extra-Thin features tourbillon in a titanium case, it is not automatic winding and they’re only making 30 of them. So try your luck at getting one but they’ll likely fall in the highly sought after category.
If you’d like to purchase one, there’s no listed price. On Audemars Piguet’s website it states, “Price available upon request,” so we’re sure its expensive. You can head over to to reserve one now.
